This 4th of July weekend, let's look out for one another while we celebrate.

With dangerously high temperatures in the forecast, heat-related illnesses can happen quickly. Stay hydrated, take breaks in the shade or air conditioning, wear light clothing, and never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle. Be sure to check on older adults, neighbors, and anyone spending time outdoors.

Heat stroke is a medical emergency. If someone is confused, unconscious, has a high body temperature, or stops sweating, call 911 immediately.

A few simple precautions can make all the difference. Barrington Ambulance Association wishes everyone a safe, healthy, and happy Independence Day weekend!

Barrington Ambulance strongly supports the Borough of Runnemede’s decision to cancel their mid-day parade tomorrow, in the interest of public safety. All morning events at the Harry Williams building are still on!

⚠️ Important July 4th Celebration Update ⚠️

Due to the forecast of dangerous heat and out of an abundance of caution, the Borough of Runnemede has made the difficult decision to cancel the main July 4th Parade on Black Horse Pike.

The morning events at the Harry Williams Community Center will still take place as scheduled, including:

🚲 Bike Parade – Check-in begins at 9:00 AM
🐾 Patriotic Pet Parade – Check-in begins at 9:00 AM
👶 Patriotic Baby Parade (Ages 5 & Under) – Registration begins at 10:15 AM
The safety of our parade participants, spectators, volunteers, Borough employees, and first responders is our highest priority. With the expected extreme temperatures, we believe canceling the main parade is the safest decision for everyone involved.

The Borough remains committed to celebrating both our nation's independence and Runnemede's Centennial. We look forward to announcing a future community celebration at a later date.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this announcement.

Please stay safe, stay hydrated, and take precautions during this period of excessive heat.

Barrington Ambulance Association was proud to take part in Student Government Day! We had the pleasure of welcoming Woodland’s 8th grade class as they explored the many departments that help keep Barrington Borough - NJ running every day.

Students toured the ambulance, participated in CPR and Stop the Bleed demonstrations, and had the chance to connect with our EMTs—asking thoughtful questions and learning more about emergency medical services.

It’s always great to inspire the next generation and share a glimpse into the work we do to serve our community! 🚑
