Arnett C. Lines Elementary School

Arnett C. Lines Elementary School Arnett C. Lines School is one of eight elementary schools in the Barrington 220 School District. The school mascot is the Lion. Mr. It is said that Arnett C.

Lines has earned the prestigious National Blue Ribbon Award three times, in 1994, 2008, and 2023. Lines Elementary School opened in 1969 and is named after a lifelong Barrington resident. Lines was a local historian who served on the School Board from 1932-1957. His father, Fred Lines, was a master carpenter who built the Barrington White House, which today serves as a historical venue for cultura

l and community events. Lines often enjoyed coming to the school that bears his name and visiting with students. In 2019 Arnett C. Lines Elementary celebrated 50 years of excellence in education. Our dedicated and talented staff are committed to implementing best practice instruction and differentiating to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of our diverse student population. The Lines School Community strives to promote excellence in academics and good citizenship through a well-planned, quality curriculum. We are committed to preparing students for self-directed, lifelong learning. We believe these are best accomplished within a community that values quality education in a caring environment.
