We are requesting permission to sample private drinking water wells near Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) - Barstow from June 8 to June 15, 2026 for certain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS.

We have mailed letters to property owners in the sampling area to provide information about private drinking water well sampling and to request permission to sample.
Our priority is to ensure people are not being exposed to PFAS at or above the DoW PFAS Interim Action Levels for Private Drinking Water Wells as a result of a Navy and Marine Corps PFAS release.
