The last "best" chance (10-30%) of storms are in store today across western portions of the region. The strongest storms will be capable of producing gusty winds, frequent lightning, and locally heavy rainfall. It gets drier and warmer from here.

Another round of storms is in store today. Strong winds and heavy rainfall leading to localized flash flooding will be the primary hazards especially for areas within the green circle. A lot of locations within the orange circle will remain hot and mostly dry.

Another day of mid-August heat can be expected, along with isolated to scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms (best chance in the Davis Mountains, Upper Trans Pecos, & Marfa/Stockton Plateau). A few of the storms that develop will once again be capable of producing strong winds, frequent lightning strikes, and heavy rain.

Another day of heavy showers with a few storms is in store. Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall with already saturated soils will lead to flash flooding for some locations. Greatest concern of flash flooding remains for areas along and south of I-10.

A Flood Watch is in effect as several rounds of occasionally heavy rainfall are forecast over the next few days! Keep an eye out for any Flash Flood Warnings issued!
