On the first day of 2024, at America’s New Year Celebration, the , we honor Smokey Bear and his 80-year legacy of preventing human-caused wildfires, a message as enduring as Smokey himself - .

In addition to watching for him in the parade, the public can meet Smokey Bear and learn more about fire prevention and management. Plus, see firsthand what packers and mules do at Equestfest at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center on Dec. 29th.

Thanks for helping us recycle right this holiday season by making sure ornaments, ribbons, plastic, glitter, and cellophane go in the garbage and not your recycling cart.

🌲 We are picking up undecorated Christmas trees over the next few weeks. Simply place your tree next to your barrels on your regular service day and We'll Take Care Of It!

👇 A few helpful tips:

✅ Make sure your tree stand is removed, as well as all lights, ornaments, tinsel and other decorations.
✅ Do not place them inside or on top of any barrel.
✅ Do not block sidewalks, driveways, cars or mailboxes.
✅ Please cut large trees (over 6 feet) in half.
✅ Artificial trees are not accepted.
✅ We will accept trees with flocking decoration.

🤝 Thank you for your help in getting your trees composted properly.
