We're still checking the books, but the recent Raiders Youth Football, Cheer & Basketball Food Pantry collection might be the BIGGEST EVER! 👀‼️

Supervisor McGuire along with Township staff and volunteers met a couple of the Raiders reps on Friday to pick up the amazing donation of:

✅ 530 Cans of soup, veggies & fruit
✅ 907 Boxed meals, such as mac & cheese, hamburger helper, pasta, & rice
✅ 231 Boxes of cereal, oatmeal, & pancake mix
✅ 712 Cans of meat, tuna, & chicken
💥 9,448 Hygiene items, such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, shaving cream, lotion, body wash, soap, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, & dish soap

With the pantry currently experiencing 1,286 visits per month from Township residents and families, this collection puts us in a great spot moving into the fall season!

The Hanover Township Veterans’ Honor Roll program was created to recognize residents for their service in the nation’s armed forces.

Inductees are presented with an honor roll certificate at a Township Board meeting. The names of the inductees are also engraved onto the honor plaques hanging in Veterans' Hall at the Township Senior Center and added to the honor roll list of the Township website. The veterans are also invited to the biannual honor roll dinners for them and a guest.

Our friends from the Bartlett 4th of July Committee stopped by last night's board meeting to present the officials with an appreciation plaque for supporting the 2026 event. Fest organizers credited the Township for its financial contribution of a Diamond Level sponsorship as well as providing shuttle transportation to and from the fest, and Township Emergency Services support for drone monitoring, scene security, and traffic control.

Following reports from officials and department heads, the board reviewed highlights and notes of the Township's FY2026 Audit before unanimously approving.

The next meeting of the Township Board will take place on Tuesday, September 15 at 7PM at the Senior Center in Bartlett.
