Tammy Town Safety

Safety education for chidren, teens and adults. Tammy Town is a traveling training town for children ages pre-school—sixth grade.

Scenario based training gives children an opportunity to role play various scenarios with Officer Tammy to teach them how to keep themselves safe in the community, at home or to and from school. Scenario based training offers children an opportunity to experience different situations and put them into memory for an enhanced learning experience. Children can also take a ride in our police cruiser and practice the rules of the road. Perfect for your next fun fair, block party or festival.

Today is the summer training grand finale! Tammy Town has made it to 29 cities this summer! Teaching about 3,000 children, how to be safe in their community around strangers, what to do if they get lost or what to do if someone suffers a medical emergency!! Tammy Town has a few more safety presentations this Fall! Today, I say, "Good Morning Cary!" Tammy Town is excited to visit The Goddard School!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 10:00-10:45 at the Bartlett Public Library District, 800 S. Bartlett Road, for Back to School Safety!!!

And... Saturday, September 19, 2026, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Rolling Meadows Police Department, 3600 Kirchoff Road, for Bicycle Safety!!

Good Morning Arlington Heights!!! It's a beautiful day for training children how to be safe around people they don't know, or kinda know. Children should know they can't go anywhere with anyone regardless of how nice they are or how long they've own them, unless they have face to face confirmation from their parents. They also can't help anyone or accept gifts without face to face approval from their parents. Today, they will also learn to say no, go, tell, someone to call 9-1-1. Trust your instincts, adults too. Anyone giving you a bad feeling or any situation should be reported to police. Don't dismiss it.

Good Morning Carpentersville!! I'm excited to bring Tammy Town to the Kiddie Academy!!! The conditions are right, let's train!!! We say no to anyone offering rides, candy, gifts, or asking for our help finding their dog. We don't go with anyone we don't know well. We say no and go tell someone to call 911!

Good Morning Winnetka!!! It's a beautiful morning at the Winnetka Park District Summer Camp!! We are excited to learn how to stay safe around strangers and people we don't know well. We are also learning what to do if someone suffers a medical emergency! We call 9-1-1 and stay on the phone until police and paramedics arrive! We can call the police anytime something doesn't seem right. We say no and never go anywhere with people we don't know. We don't help them, take gifts, or go in anyone's house or car! No matter how nice they are or what they say. Say No, Go, Tell someone we trust to call 9-1-1.

Good morning Romeoville!! I'm happy to be at the Kiddie Academy!!! Conditions are right... Let's train!!! We say no to strangers or people we don't know well offering rides, candy or gifts. We don't help anyone or go with anyone without face to face permission from our parents. We say no and run tell someone to call 911!

It was a beautiful morning at the Kindercare in Aurora! We didn't let the heat ruin our plans to train hard! We say, "No" to offers from strangers and go tell someone we trust to call 911!
