Just a reminder that City of Bartlett Offices will be closed on Friday, June 19th for Juneteeth. This includes City Hall, Police and Fire Admin, Court Clerk's Office, Central Records, the Library, Parks & Rec, and the Animal Shelter. Trash pickup normally picked up on Friday will be delayed one day to Saturday.

🚨 Temporary Pause on Dog Intakes & Adoptions 🚨

Out of an abundance of caution, we are temporarily suspending all dog intakes and adoptions through June 9, 2026.

We have had two cases this week that raise concerns about potential spread, and we want to do everything possible to protect the health and well-being of the dogs in our care and in our community. The best way to accomplish this is to temporarily stop bringing dogs into the shelter and placing dogs into new homes while we assess the situation and implement appropriate precautions.

We ask for your patience and support during this short-term closure.

If you find a stray dog, please contact us with your information and post the dog on local lost-and-found pet pages to help reunite pets with their owners.

We are hopeful that operations will return to normal on Tuesday, June 9.
