BCIA gives a $500 scholarship each year to an Alcona High School Senior. The criteria is an essay stating how Barton City has impacted your life or how you have had an impact on Barton City.

Gunnar Levline was this years recipient after a well written essay on how being brought to a kids free fishing weekend tournament here sparked his deep love for ice fishing.

We LOVE this, and want to take this opportunity to thank EVERYONE who donates, volunteers, works, has had any little or big part in keeping this community the beautiful place it is and continues to be.

We are so grateful and humbled to be a positive part of this place we call home and this incredible community.

TOMORROW IS THE DAY!!! We are so excited for this Fun Run. All proceeds go to the Harrisville & Barton City Fireworks. We are so grateful for everyone who is volunteering, heading up, clearing paths!

What a community we live in, and for us, we just couldn't be more proud and more grateful to be a part of it and wow are we lucky that we get to live here! See everyone tomorrow

It's May! Wow! GREAT NEWS - DEADLINE EXTENSION

We were able to speak to the publisher of the 4th of July book are EXTENDING THE DEADLINE to make sure everyone who wants to be in the book can be :)

NEW DEADLINE FOR ADS FRIDAY 5/15/26 - There will be no exceptions after this date but we understand this has been a hectic start to the year so get them in to Lori or drop them at Hammer & Nail Restaurant

REMINDER!!! Ads for the 4th of July book are due by 4/30/26. Please feel free to reach out to Lori (970) 779-8135 or you can also drop off your ads/application/checks to Hammer & Nail Restaurant or to anyone on the BCIA board. We'll make sure it gets to the right place but we need to get them in so we can get them to publish and handed out in a timely fashion. Thank you guys :)

We are looking for donations for the auction! All proceeds go toward the total for the fireworks.

May 2, 2026 is super close and this is a huge event for our area :) There is an auction at BC Bar & Grill at the end of the fun run, where the winners are announced and we have another opportunity to raise so much money for the awesome fireworks show.
