Caretaker Position for Pageant Park Beach & Campground 2024 Season.

Do you like camping? Do you like being paid to camp? If you’d like to be paid to camp along Crystal Lake's picturesque shores this position may be the job for you.

Barton Village shall pay a fee in the amount of $489 per week for the services provided by the
Caretaker(s) as well as provide one free camping space. You will need your own camper.

A sample of responsibilities are but not limited to.

• Maintain gate admissions.
• Maintain schedule of campsite bookings.
• Enforce Park rules. Rules should be posted by the gate and provided to overnight campers.
• Contact Village employees about issues or questions regarding the maintenance and/or management of the park.
• Contact Vermont State Police for violations other than Park rules
• Maintain bathhouse – Requires a thorough cleaning each morning, and periodic checks throughout the day to ensure cleanliness.
• Maintain beach area – Rake and clean as needed to maintain beach cleanliness.

Caretaker(s) will be responsible for ensuring a responsible individual is on site to assume their duties in the event of their absence.

The DPW Foreman will oversee the overall management of the Park in conjunction with the caretakers. Periodic visits will be made to assure that the Park continues to operate in a safe
and attractive manner.

Hard to believe that Summer 2023 is in the record books. Mother Nature may have had her own agenda but it did not stop the new memories that were made, the fun in the sun that was had and all the campfires and laughs that took place. Our sincere appreciation goes to Theresa & John Madden for the love and care you put into the park each season. The Village THANKS YOU! ❤️
