Transportation Nation-

Soldiers from TF SPEAR put their shooting skills to the test by competing in a marksmanship competition with other Army units assigned to the CENTCOM AOR. The competition was composed of a sidearm qualification, a rifle qualification, and a sniper range. The four man team represented TF SPEAR well by placing fourth overall in the competition. The sharpshooters of TF SPEAR stand ready for any challenge they may encounter while bringing SUPPORT TO THE LINE!

Transportation Nation-

TF SPEAR completed their Jets on HETS move over the weekend. This mission consisted of moving a BAE Systems Hawk Mk.64 and an Embraer EMB-312S Tucano Mk.52 from Sheikh Saad Airport to Ali Al Salem Air Base. The planes were moved at the request of the United States Air Force and the Kuwait Air Force. The airframes will serve as static display pieces for an upcoming festival. TF Spear utilized contracted KGL transportation assets and worked with the Kuwait Ministry of Interior to arrange police escorts to ensure the planes made it safely to their destination. The soldiers of TF SPEAR will bring SUPPORT TO THE LINE no matter what the load is!

Transportation Nation-

Soldiers from TF SPEAR participated in the Army Ten-Miler over the weekend. The Ten-Miler is an annual race that the U.S. Army hosts every October where soldiers, veterans, and civilians run a 10 mile course in Washington DC. Even though the main event is held in the nation’s capital, smaller events are held throughout the world to allow soldiers stationed abroad to participate. Running the Army Ten-Miler demonstrates that the soldiers of TF SPEAR are physically ready to bring SUPPORT TO THE LINE!

TF SPEAR recognized soldiers from the 330th MCT with an awards ceremony. Soldiers from the 330th have distinguished themselves with their professionalism in coordinating transportation and providing in transit visibility to customer units. Their impact can be seen throughout the CENTCOM AOR. TF SPEAR would also like to welcome the 540th MCT to theater. They will without a doubt continue the 330th’s legacy of bringing SUPPORT TO THE LINE!

Transportation Nation-

TF SPEAR had a chance to zero in their marksmanship skills this week. Soldiers utilized an Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) to practice firing the Army’s standard issue M4 carbine on both night and Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear (CBRN) qualification courses. Firing a weapon is a skill that soldiers learn in their initial entry training and continue to refine throughout their careers. Practicing marksmanship is another way the soldiers of TF SPEAR are making themselves into a more lethal fighting force that is capable of bringing SUPPORT TO THE LINE no matter what challenges they come into contact with!

Soldiers from TF SPEAR participated in 5k’s throughout the CENTCOM AOR over the weekend to remember those who lost their lives in the 9-11 attacks. The sacrifices made on that day will live on as examples of what selfless service and personal courage truly mean. Never forget!
