Our association was established to bring together the fire departments of Jefferson County under one common purpose—to strengthen our fire service through communication, cooperation, training, leadership, and professionalism while continuing to provide the highest level of service to the citizens we proudly protect.

Although each department has its own history, traditions, and identity, we all share the same commitment: protecting the lives and property of the people of Jefferson County. Through this association, we are committed to building stronger relationships between our departments, promoting countywide training opportunities, recognizing the accomplishments of our firefighters, supporting one another, and working together for the betterment of the entire Jefferson County Fire Service.

Join us this July 4th at the Jefferson County Recreation Field for an unforgettable evening as we light up the night sky in celebration of our nation’s 250th anniversary. Starting around 9:30 PM, or at dusk once darkness falls, the Louisville Lions Club promises a fireworks show unlike any other, filled with thrilling surprises and dazzling colors.

The Louisville Lions Club has worked tirelessly to enhance this year’s event, securing additional funding to ensure a grander, more exciting display than ever before. This commitment reflects their passion for community spirit and national pride, making this celebration truly special. It is thanks to their efforts, along with generous sponsors, that our community can come together to honor our country’s rich history with such a magnificent event.

This fireworks extravaganza is not just a show of pyrotechnics but a tribute to the enduring values of freedom and unity that July 4th represents. Whether you're bringing the whole family or gathering with friends, prepare for a night filled with awe-inspiring bursts of light and color that celebrate our shared heritage.

Please come out and support this fundraiser for two firefighters and their families . Louisville Fire Department and Jefferson Fire (Hillcrest Fire Department) are coming together to help support our firefighters who both suffered great loss after house fires . Louisville firefighter Matt Mendoza and Jefferson firefighter Austin Unruh will be supported by this . Louisville Fire Department will be providing the steak sandwiches and Jefferson Fire will be providing the sweets !! So please come out and help support our firefighters !!!
