During the May 15 agenda review meeting, Polk County Commissioners received an update on the future agricultural and equestrian center project. County staff shared a revised conceptual design shaped by community and focus group feedback.

The updated plan will provide opportunities to host rodeos, cutting shows, car shows and other large events. The proposed project consists of four phases. With phase one of the project estimated at more than $28 million, county leaders advised that additional grants and potential state funding opportunities will continue being pursued.

The project’s current timeline calls for construction documents to be completed by the end of this year with construction beginning in August 2027 and wrapping up in early 2029.
