The Central Florida Local Emergency Planning Committee (CF LEPC) held its quarterly meeting at the Sherwin Williams Distribution Center in Winter Haven on May 7, 2026.

A special thank you to Sherwin Williams for hosting the meeting and providing attendees with a behind-the-scenes tour of their massive distribution facility. This is the only Sherwin Williams distribution center in the State of Florida and is approximately 400,000 square feet with an expansion scheduled to open this year that includes an additional 400,000 square feet. The tour offered valuable insight into facility operations, logistics, safety measures, and regional coordination efforts that support communities across Florida.

The CF LEPC appreciates the continued partnership and collaboration between public and private sector partners working together to strengthen hazardous materials preparedness, emergency planning, and community resilience throughout Central Florida.
