Check out our new Aerial photos on our website. Shown is the Polk County Historical Courthouse- 2023 verses 2026 photos. Zoom in, it’s like night and day. These photos will greatly benefit both our office and our business community.

Here’s just a few of the governmental and business uses:

1. Property appraisal and assessment — identifying new structures, additions, pools, sheds, docks, agricultural improvements, demolition, and changes that may not yet appear in property records.
2. Real estate — property marketing, development-site analysis, neighborhood comparisons, boundary visualization, and commercial-property due diligence.
3. Insurance — roof-condition screening, building measurements, underwriting, catastrophe assessment, claims verification, and identifying property changes.
4. Roofing contractors — measuring roof dimensions, estimating pitch and complexity, preparing estimates, and identifying likely repair areas before visiting the property.
5. Construction — site planning, progress monitoring, earthwork verification, material inventories, documentation, and before-and-after comparisons.
6. Engineering and surveying — preliminary site analysis, measurements, drainage evaluation, infrastructure planning, topographic work, and project design.
7. Utilities — locating and monitoring power lines, substations, poles, pipelines, water systems, sewer infrastructure, rights-of-way, and vegetation encroachment.
8. Telecommunications — planning tower locations, fiber routes, wireless coverage infrastructure, and right-of-way access.
9. Agriculture — crop monitoring, irrigation planning, drainage, field boundaries, grove/tree inventories, livestock facilities, and detecting stressed vegetation.
10. Forestry — timber inventories, canopy analysis, logging planning, storm damage, fire risk, and monitoring changes in forest acreage.
11. Solar companies — determining usable roof area, shading, roof orientation, and preliminary solar-panel layouts.
12. Landscaping and lawn services — measuring lawns and landscaped areas remotely so contractors can prepare estimates without initially visiting the property.
13. Pest-control companies — examining building footprints, rooflines, vegetation, water features, and other property characteristics useful in preparing service estimates.
14. Pool companies — identifying suitable locations, measuring yards, evaluating access, and producing preliminary pool layouts.
15. Fence companies — estimating fence lengths and preparing preliminary quotes from parcel and imagery measurements.
16. Paving and concrete contractors — measuring parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, roofs and other surfaces for estimating materials and labor.
17. Commercial property management — monitoring roofs, parking lots, landscaping, stormwater facilities and changes across large portfolios.
18. Banks and mortgage companies — collateral review, property verification, construction-loan monitoring, and identifying significant changes to secured property.
19. Environmental consulting — wetlands, surface water, erosion, land clearing, habitat changes, contamination-site monitoring and regulatory work.
20. Mining, quarries and landfills — measuring stockpiles, excavation areas, fill areas and changes in site conditions.
21. Transportation — road planning, traffic studies, intersection analysis, pavement inventories, railroad corridors and airport planning.
22. Emergency management — hurricane, tornado, wildfire and flood damage assessment and comparing pre-disaster imagery with post-disaster conditions.
23. Law enforcement/public safety — incident planning, search-and-rescue, event planning and understanding property layouts.
24. Local government planning and zoning — development review, zoning compliance, code enforcement, annexation, comprehensive planning and land-use-change detection.
25. Stormwater and flood management — identifying drainage patterns, impervious surfaces, retention ponds, canals and areas susceptible to flooding.
26. HOAs and community associations — common-area management, roof and pavement planning, landscaping inventories and documenting community changes.
27. Developers and home builders — land acquisition, subdivision planning, feasibility studies, construction monitoring and marketing.
28. Legal services — boundary disputes, easements, encroachments, historical land-use changes, accident reconstruction and litigation exhibits.
29. Marinas and waterfront businesses — dock inventories, shoreline conditions, seawalls, boat-slip measurements and waterfront development.
30. GIS/data companies — extracting building footprints, road networks, impervious surfaces, vegetation, pools and other features to create commercial datasets.

We held our monthly Agency meeting last week, with teamwork as the theme. We have an incredible team here at PCPA, consistently going above and beyond to assist taxpayers while meeting important goals and deadlines. We also took the opportunity to recognize staff achievements and celebrate the dedication and hard work that make our team so successful.

It was a great reminder of what we can accomplish when we work together!

Once again, our incredible PCPA team went above and beyond!

Thanks to your generosity, we've collected an amazing donation of Back-to-School supplies for the Bartow Chamber Young Professionals' Stuff the Bus initiative. These donations will help equip students with the tools they need for a successful school year.

Thank you to everyone who contributed and made a difference in our community. Your kindness will have a lasting impact on so many students this year!
