Today we remember and honor Lorrie a passionate and truly remarkable woman whose impact will be felt for generations.
Life led her down a path of service, and she answered that calling as a paramedic, dedicating over 30 years to caring for the communities of Sandusky and Seneca counties. In every call she ran, every patient she touched, and every life she helped save, Lorrie embodied compassion, strength, and unwavering commitment.
But her legacy extends far beyond the field. Lorrie was a teacher, a mentor, and a guiding force for countless students. Through her work with the Vanguard-Sentinel Adult Public Safety program, she helped shape the future of EMS teaching EMT and Paramedic courses, First Aid, CPR, and so much more. If you had the privilege of learning from her, you didn’t just gain knowledge, you were trained by one of the very best.
Even after retiring in 2023, Lorrie’s passion for helping others never faded. She continued teaching part-time at Penta, still giving her time, her knowledge, and her heart to those following in her footsteps.
Lorrie’s legacy lives on in every life she saved, every student she mentored, and every provider who carries forward the lessons she so selflessly shared. She made us better, better EMS caregivers, better teachers, and better people.
Rest easy, Lorrie. Your watch may be over, but your impact will never fade.
