Today is International Overdose Awareness Day. We'd like to take this opportunity to highlight the REACH Out campaign.

The goal of this campaign is to raise awareness of New Jersey’s 911 Lifeline Legislation and Overdose Prevention Act. The 911 Lifeline Law protects individuals who call 911 during an alcohol-related emergency, while the Overdose Prevention Act provides protections during opioid and other drug-related overdoses. By raising awareness of these laws, REACH hopes more young people will feel empowered to call 911, stay on the scene, and help someone experiencing a drug- or alcohol-related emergency.

When my kids ask for snacks close to dinner time, I like to make some vegetables available. It's usually whatever is being served with dinner - sliced cucumbers and tomatoes have been in abundance this summer! - Tara
