Charter Day 2026 is tomorrow, Saturday May 16! While the events and performances start at 12:00PM and continue through 6:00PM, roadways in the area will be affected as early as 8:00AM. Below is a list of road closures that will be taking place to allow Charter Day to run enjoyably, smoothly and safely!

➡️ S Finley Ave will be closed from Collyer Ln to Oak St.
➡️ If you reside on S Finley Ave, Colonial Dr, Dyckman Pl, Cedar St, Rankin Ave, Forbes St or Lewis St, you will be allowed to drive to and from your home with police direction.
➡️ There will be no parking on the western side of Rankin Ave.
➡️ There will be no parking on Lewis St or Henry St.
➡️ Lewis St will be ONE WAY from S Finley Ave to S Maple Ave.

We will update with any further closures should they be deemed necessary throughout the day tomorrow.

⚠️ Phishing Scam Targeting Permit Payments in Nearby Areas ⚠️

The FBI is warning of a growing phishing scheme where criminals impersonate city and county officials to request fraudulent payments for planning and zoning permits.

These scammers are using publicly available permit information to make their messages appear legitimate and target potential victims more effectively. A nearby local township has already received one of these fraudulent requests.

Please stay vigilant and verify any payment requests before responding. Contact BTPD with any reported losses.
