We wanted to share the 2027 Bastrop Area Livestock Show (BALSFA) Rules and updates for this year!

We wanted to share that the Heart O' Texas (HOT) show is coming up pretty quickly and entries are open. Show Entries and Calf Scramble Entries are due to the County Extension Office by 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, August 26th. Links to the entries are available towards the bottom of the email blast.

State Fair of Texas show entries are open. Entries are due ONLINE in the parent portal by Midnight on Sat. 8/22. Links are in the email blast.

This show is requiring all Indemnity & W-9 forms to be completed in the online parent portal & are NOT accepting any hard copies of them. You'll complete entries and payment online in the system.

It's time to order State Validation Tags for livestock showing in the Spring Major Shows (Ft Worth, San Angelo, San Antonio, Houston, Rodeo Austin)!

There are options for online purchase and for paper order forms - please see the links in the email blasts for access to them.

We wanted to send a quick reminder for 2026 Cake Auction! We are excited to let you know that the Cake Auction will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, beginning at 12:00 Noon at the American Legion Post #533 off of Loop 150 in Bastrop.

Thank you to those who have signed up to bake! If you have not done so, please add your cake description to the Google Sheet. We still need 2 bakers for the Bastrop 4-H Club and the Rockne 4-H Club.
