💧 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝟐 𝐖𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒

Aqua WSC has entered “Stage 2 – Moderate Water Shortage Conditions” in response to high system demand. We know Aqua WSC’s water restrictions raise questions about our water supply and what is driving the need for them, so we want to be clear about what is happening.

𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐚 𝐖𝐒𝐂'𝐬 𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠. Stage 2 is being implemented to manage the periods when demand across the system spikes. During period of low rainfall and extreme heat, our members tend to use more water for outdoor irrigation. By adjusting (not eliminating) how we use water outdoors, we can level out those peaks and keep the system running efficiently and cost-effectively.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝟐:
💧 Even-numbered addresses: outdoor watering Monday & Thursday
💧 Odd-numbered addresses: outdoor watering Tuesday & Friday
⏰ Water before 10 a.m. or after 7 p.m.

This schedule applies to landscape irrigation, car-washing, and filling pools.

1. How many wraps of electrical tape were supposed to do the trick?
2. At what point did we decide, “Yep, that oughta hold”?
3. Were we planning to call Aqua WSC before or after the small geyser appeared? 💦

We have to admire the optimism. The results… maybe not so much. 😂

❌ MYTH: If you hit a water line, wrap it in enough electrical tape and don’t tell Aqua WSC, no one will ever know. 👀

✅ FACT: Oh, we’ll know. 😂💦

Electrical tape is many things. A permanent repair for a pressurized water line is not one of them.

If you hit one of our lines, 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲. Please don’t tape it up and send it back into the wild for us to find later. We promise that conversation is a lot less uncomfortable than explaining the electrical tape. 🤳𝟓𝟏𝟐-𝟑𝟎𝟑-𝟑𝟗𝟒𝟑

On Tuesday, at our Board Meeting, we had the honor of presenting Earl Steinbach with a plaque in recognition of his outstanding service and dedication to Aqua Water Supply Corporation.

Mr. Steinbach served as the Zone 5 Representative on the Aqua WSC Board of Directors beginning in 2001, was elected Vice President in 2009, and faithfully served in that role until March 2025. Throughout his tenure, he also contributed his time and expertise on the Finance Committee and Scholarship Committee.

A longtime resident of eastern Bastrop County, he owns and operates a farm, ranch, and livestock business. His commitment to stewardship extends beyond the land he works, as reflected in his reason for serving: “My reason for serving is to protect our water resources for present and future generations.”

For more than two decades, his leadership, dedication, and commitment to Aqua WSC members helped shape the organization and strengthen its mission. We are grateful for his years of service and the lasting impact he has made on our community. 💙
