I'm proud to announce that legislation I Co-Sponsored has passed both the IL House and Senate and is on its way to becoming law.

SB2838 strengthens consumer protections, increases transparency in hearing care coverage, and helps ensure Illinois residents have the information they need to make informed decisions about their hearing health.

At last week's Fallen Firefighter Memorial and Awards Ceremony in Springfield, lives lost saving others and protecting property were honored, and acts of bravery and teamwork by our first responders were celebrated. It is everyone's hope to never add another new Gold Badge Honoree at our service, and I hope to never see Chicago or Aurora Fire Department equipment needed at our Capitol again. Thank you to all firefighters and paramedics for your dedication, and continued healing for the families at work and home struggling with a line of duty loss.
