Need a piece of Adaptive Equipment? Join May We Help at one of their September Equipment Events!

Physical Therapists will be on-site to match and fit equipment, and modification experts can make in-the-moment repairs or modifications.

They generally have a variety of wheelchairs, gait trainers, standers, Hoyer lifts, and other miscellaneous equipment available.

All equipment is previously owned and is FREE to the recipient.

The event is open-house style. You will check in with a volunteer and then meet with a volunteer PT to review your equipment needs and be fitted for a piece of equipment, as we have it available.

Today, our flag at the Wildey Center has been lowered to half staff in remembrance of Dolly Parton.

In learning of her passing, Dolly has left a hole in the heart of our nation. She was the epitome of kindness and all things good. Like us, Dolly was from an Appalachian county. She grew up there, returned there after hitting it big on the Country Music charts, and helped Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville become a prosperous metropolis for families to do two things: enjoy the Great Smoky Mountains and enjoy being together.

Dolly also created jobs with her many enterprises. She taught us that you could be a top-notch leader in business, and still be as down to earth as the day you were born. She brought us the Imagination Library, and Clermont DD was so honored to be at the table when the program was coming to our county. The representative from Dolly's foundation was present at that meeting and when the question was asked about how children qualified, we learned that Dolly wanted ALL children ages birth to 5 to receive one book a month; all you had to do was sign them up--no big qualification program was needed. Just a child in that age group, and books to get them started in life. The first book received by each child is "The Little Engine That Could." In the course of her lifetime, Dolly became that engine.

Thank you, Dolly, for all you've done for us.

In a world where you can be anything, be a Dolly!
