Was your home damaged by this weekend’s storms in Kane County?

The Kane County Office of Emergency Management is asking residents to report storm-related damage from July 3-4, 2026.
If your property sustained damage from the storms, please complete the damage self-assessment survey. The information will help determine eligibility for possible assistance for the region. This survey does not guarantee federal assistance.

📣 In case you haven't heard...

Tonight's July 4 SkyShow has been postponed until tomorrow evening. 🎆

The Fire Chief made the decision because the fireworks launch area is too wet for a safe show.

The good news? All of the food vendors have committed to returning tomorrow as well! 🍔🌭🍧

We're continuing to monitor the weather and will share any updates here if plans change for tomorrow.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We can't wait to celebrate with you tomorrow night for an incredible SkyShow! 🇺🇸✨

Save the date! Sunday, September 27 for Batavia Fire Departments 2026 Open House, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., West Side Station 2, 1400 W. Main Street. Parking is available across the street at the Batavia High School south parking lot.

We'll have an extrication demo, smoke trailer to simulate emergencies, food, a visit from Superior Helicopter and more!
