Sharing the information from the Village of Batavia

ROAD WORK NOTICE: S.R. 32 and Herold Road

The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced permanent safety improvements at the intersection of S.R. 32 and Herold Road are scheduled to begin Monday, July 6.

S.R. 32 will be reduced to one lane in each direction through the intersection for approximately 30 days.

🚧 Phase 1 (approximately 7 days): The right lane of S.R. 32 East and West will be closed, and Herold Road will be closed in both directions at the intersection. Detour routes: northbound travelers may use S.R. 276 and Bauer Road; southbound travelers may follow Hospital Drive and Bauer Road.

🚧 Phase 2 (approximately 21 days): The left lane of S.R. 32 in both directions will be closed. Right turns to and from Herold Road will be restored, but there will be no access from eastbound S.R. 32 to northbound Herold Road. Detour: Bauer Road and S.R. 276.
Work is expected to be substantially complete in early August, with all work finished by November.

Location: Chapel Road

Description: This project will improve drainage and roadway infrastructure along Chapel Road in Batavia Township through the replacement of an existing culvert and related drainage improvements. Work includes culvert replacement, ditch and drainage enhancements, berm restoration, and associated roadway repairs. These improvements are designed to improve stormwater conveyance, reduce roadway flooding, and enhance the long-term reliability and safety of the roadway.

All work will be contingent on weather.

Owensville-Belfast Road is closed near 5533 Owensville-Belfast Road due to an auto accident.

Please avoid the area and seek an alternate route. The roadway will reopen once the scene has been cleared.

Due to overnight storms, the following County roadways are currently closed:

🚧 Old SR 32 east of Half Acre Road – Tree down into power lines. Duke Energy is on scene.

Please avoid these areas and use alternate routes. Motorists are reminded to never drive through flooded roadways and to use caution around downed trees and utility lines.

We will provide updates as conditions change.

S.R. 125 Resurfacing Project Gets Under Way
Pavement repairs begin this week with crews working at various locations between S.R. 222 and Kelli Lane


Clermont County (Tuesday, June 16, 2026) – Motorists will encounter lane restrictions on a portion of state Route 125 in Clermont County as a five-mile resurfacing project gets under way.

Throughout the summer and fall, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will be repairing and resurfacing S.R. 125 between the route's junction with S.R. 222 North and Kelli Lane at the village of Bethel.

Pavement repairs are getting under way this week at various locations within the project zone, and these will continue through early July. Once repairs have been completed, crews will begin paving operations. It is anticipated that this work will begin in mid to late July.

Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one lane in either direction, daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., with traffic shifted to the outside lanes at the start of the project and then to the inside lanes.

The John R. Jurgensen Company was awarded a contract for approximately $2.82 million to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed in November.
