The Planning and Zoning Commission will be holding a Public hearing on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 6:00pm to consider the approval of a site plan for Dowell Construction. They will also consider amendments to the city code.
A Public Hearing before the Board of Aldermen to consider the above topics will be held immediately following the adjournment of the Planning and Zoning hearing. Please see the attached agendas for more details.

BOIL ADVISORY LIFTED
Good news! The Bates City Water Company has lifted the boil advisory as of 10:30 am on Thursday, July 2, 2026.

**Notice***
Bates City Water Company has issued a boil advisory for our customers.
There was a malfunction of equipment at the water tower causing it not to fill properly. The issue has been resolved but it is a slow process to fill back to normal range. Please contact City shall if you have questions.
We appreciate your patience while we work to resolve the issue.

UPDATE Saturday, June 20, 2026
Water level has been restored in the tower.
Water pressure should be back to normal.
There is no boil advisory.

ATTENTION BATES CITY WATER CO. CUSTOMERS
We have a serious water leak with the location undetermined at this time.
Please do your best to conserve water for the time being. Also, due to the low pressure level we are advising that you boil your water. This is an advisory not an order at the moment. We will update as quickly as we can. Please look for updates from this page in the community groups!
