❤️🤍💙 On This Day in History — June 11, 1776 ❤️🤍💙

On this day in 1776, the Continental Congress appointed a committee to draft what would become the Declaration of Independence.

A small group of people chose to challenge what existed and imagine something better. Change didn’t happen overnight—but it started with individuals willing to step forward, speak up, and fight for something greater than themselves.

Real change has always depended on ordinary people willing to do extraordinary things. 💙

At SEI Voices for Children, we believe change-makers still matter. Every volunteer, advocate, donor, and supporter helps create a better future for children who need someone in their corner.

💙 We have already served over 100 children in 2026… with only 16 CASA volunteers.

That means there are still children in our community waiting for someone to speak up, show up, and stand beside them.

You could be that person.

No special background is needed—just compassion and the willingness to care. Training and support are provided every step of the way.

👉 Reach out to Gretchen at 812-593-6178 to learn how you can join our team and help change a child’s story.

⚾✨ On This Day in History ✨⚾

On this day in 1971, the Oakland A’s defeated the Washington Senators 5–3… in 21 innings.

Twenty-one innings.
Hours of exhaustion.
Opportunities to quit.
Moments where walking away probably sounded easier.

But they kept showing up.
They kept pushing forward.
And eventually, persistence paid off.

Sometimes life feels like the 21st inning—long, exhausting, and uncertain. But some victories only come because we refuse to give up before the game is over. 💙

💙 Make a Difference Monday 💙

What if making a difference was as simple as showing up—through a single act of generosity?

For children who have experienced abuse or neglect, having a CASA volunteer can mean the difference between feeling lost in the system and finally being heard.

Your donation helps us recruit, train, and support advocates who stand beside these children during some of the hardest moments of their lives.

👉 It costs about $1,500 to advocate for one child for an entire year.
👉 Every dollar helps ensure a child has someone in their corner.

Today, you can be part of that story.

💙 Give. Support. Change a child’s story.

👖✨ On This Day in History ✨👖

On May 28, 1923, the U.S. Attorney General declared that women could wear trousers anywhere—challenging long-standing norms and opening the door to greater freedom of expression.

It may seem like a small thing now, but at the time, it represented something much bigger: the right to be seen, to choose, and to move through the world more freely.

Just as beautiful.
Just as respectful.
Just as worthy of being seen and heard.

Progress often starts with moments like these—when voices are heard, barriers are challenged, and change begins.

💙 At SEI Voices for Children, we believe in that same spirit—making sure every voice is heard and every individual is given the opportunity to be seen and supported.

❤️🤍💙 Memorial Day ❤️🤍💙

Today, we pause.

We remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country—those who never made it home, and the families who carry that loss every day. Their sacrifice is the reason we have the freedoms we often take for granted.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It’s a moment to reflect on courage, to honor lives given in service, and to hold space for those who continue to grieve.

At SEI Voices for Children, we are reminded that behind every sacrifice is a story, a family, and a legacy that deserves to be remembered.

🇺🇸 Today, we honor.
🇺🇸 Today, we remember.
🇺🇸 Today, we are grateful.

Can you spot the 5 differences? 👀

(Okay… maybe this one’s easy 😉)

But here’s a real question:
What’s ONE small thing that made a big difference in your life?

💛🐝 World Bee Day 🐝💛

Bees may be small, but their impact is powerful—and it takes every single one working together to create something meaningful.

Just like a hive depends on each bee, children depend on a network of people who show up, speak up, and care.

🐝 Every effort matters.
🐝 Every voice matters.
🐝 Every child matters.

💛 Thank you for being part of the hive that helps change a child’s story.
