Bagpipes, kilts, and a full day of Batesville fun — ScotsFest Saturday is here! 🎶🏈

Head to Lyon College today for Highland athletics, Scottish dancing, pipe bands, food and craft vendors, and family-friendly activities.

A few highlights to help plan your day:
🏋️ 9 a.m. — Highland athletics begin
🎶 Noon — Opening ceremonies and mass pipe band
🏈 4 p.m. — Lyon College takes on Texas Lutheran at Bad Boy Mowers Stadium
🍽️ 6 p.m. — Feast, Ceilidh and Dancing

Between events, explore the kids’ zone and petting zoo, catch the Kilties, and enjoy music from The Gravel Yard in the entertainment zone!

Bring your friends and family, and come celebrate Scottish heritage and Lyon College homecoming.

Let the ScotsFest weekend begin! 🎉

The 46th Arkansas Scottish Festival and Lyon College Homecoming kicks off TODAY in Batesville!

Start exploring vendors and Scottish clan organizations at noon, and catch a traditional tartan-weaving demonstration from noon to 2 p.m. Tonight, the homecoming spirit heats up with a bonfire and pep rally at Grigsby House at 7 p.m. 🔥

Alumni and friends can also reconnect during the Alumni Awards Celebration and tonight’s social at Polk & Paddle downtown.

Make plans to come back Saturday for Highland athletics, pipe bands, dancing, family activities, live entertainment and homecoming football!

Here’s your October 31 lineup in downtown Batesville:

🥞 9–11 a.m. — Spooky Stacks at Sarah-Dipity
🎨 10 a.m.–noon — Block-printed trick-or-treat bags at the Batesville Area Arts Council
🍬 4-8 p.m. — Trick or Treat Madness downtown
👻 9 p.m.–midnight — Boos & Brews at The Board on Third, ages 21+

Little Highlanders, big weekend plans! 👑🎣

ScotsFest begins TOMORROW at Lyon College, and two new events are bringing even more family fun to this year’s celebration:

👑 Saturday, October 24: Lil’ Highlanders Tea Party
Young princes and princesses are invited to tea and story time with Lyon College President Melissa Taverner, prime minister of the Arkansas Scottish Festival. Royal attire is encouraged!

🎣 Sunday, October 25, at 1 p.m.: ScotsFest Fishing Derby
Head to Bryan Lake for a FREE afternoon with Arkansas Game and Fish Commission officers and educators, hands-on activities, and fishing fun. Bring a pole or borrow one—no experience needed!

Saturday also brings the Lil’ Highlanders Kids’ Zone, a petting zoo, and plenty more to explore.

The 46th Arkansas Scottish Festival and Lyon College Homecoming returns October 23–25 for three days of Scottish heritage, live music, friendly competition, and family fun right here in Batesville!

Enjoy Highland athletics, Scottish dancing, pipe bands, food and craft vendors, children’s activities, and homecoming traditions. Plus, discover TWO new additions: the Lil’ Highlanders Tea Party on Saturday and the ScotsFest Fishing Derby on Sunday! 🎣👑
