BATESVILLE PIONEERS GO GOLD

This September, Pioneer Nation will once again Go Gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

We want to honor the children in our Pioneer family whose lives have been impacted by childhood cancer.

If your child is a survivor, currently fighting childhood cancer, or you would like us to honor their memory, we invite you to share their story with us.

By submitting the form, you give Batesville School District permission to share your child’s story and photo on district social media and/or through other special recognitions.

We are excited to kick off the year with our schoolwide reading initiative and the start of our Read-A-Thon tomorrow (Sept. 1).

Students can use Clever to access an amazing library of digital books through MyON and take Accelerated Reader (AR) quizzes from home. Reading at home is a great way to support classroom learning and help students reach their reading goals.

Here is how your child can log in:

Kindergarten – 2nd Grade: Your child's homeroom teacher will provide a personalized Clever QR badge for easy scanning.
3rd Grade – 5th Grade: Students can log in using their school username and password.

We’re kicking off our annual EME Library Read-A-Thon, and we’re excited to get our Pioneers reading! This year’s Read-A-Thon is launching alongside our annual Accelerated Reader (AR) program to build excitement for reading right from the start of the school year.

The Eagle Mountain Library is more than a room full of books—it’s a place where students discover new worlds, explore their interests, and develop a lifelong love of reading. Funds raised through the Read-A-Thon will help us purchase new books, create engaging library experiences, support special programs, and continue making our library a special place for every student.

Getting Started Is Easy:
✅ Register your student for the Read-A-Thon.
➡️ Share your student’s fundraising page with at least 10 people by text, email, or social media. Students who register and share their page with 10 people will earn a special participation award!
🤞🏻 Remember, participation is just as important as donations. Every student who joins in helps spread the love of reading and supports our school library.

Mascot Mystery! Can You Guess Who?

Our Eagle Mountain Elementary students put their thinking caps on and took a peek at the BHS Pioneers football schedule to see if they could guess the mascots of our opponents! 🧐🏈

Tonight’s mystery mascot is… THE SEARCY LIONS! 🦁

Our little Pioneers are ready to cheer on the Batesville Pioneers as they take on the Lions tonight at Pioneer Stadium!

📣 Kickoff is at 7:00 PM!

Every person in this photo plays a part in serving the students of Batesville School District.

Whether they are teaching in a classroom, driving a bus, preparing meals, cleaning our schools, maintaining our facilities, supporting families, coaching, leading, or working behind the scenes, our employees show up each day with our students at the heart of what they do.

There are some pretty impressive numbers behind this team!

BSD currently has 421 contracted employees, and our certified teachers and administrators bring a combined 2,934 years of experience to our district.

One member of our team has an incredible 47 years of experience!

That’s a lot of people, a lot of experience, and one shared commitment to our students.
