🏀Green Machine showed up and showed out at the Western Regional Basketball Competition at Niagara College earlier this month.

Team A battled hard all day and brought home a 4th place finish, while Team B played with heart and determination to earn 3rd place.

So proud of all of our athletes for their teamwork, sportsmanship, and dedication on the court. Way to represent Green Machine!

The Arc Allegany-Steuben recently celebrated several associates for milestone years of service and dedication to the agency. A special congratulations goes to Kevin Gildner for 35 years and Tom Talbett for 45 years of service on the agency’s Board of Directors, as well as Debbie Rosemier for 40 years of employment with The Arc Allegany-Steuben.

The Self-Advocate of the Year Award is presented to a self-advocate who has demonstrated leadership, personal growth and has positively influenced the lives of others. The award recognizes a self-advocate who has developed a greater understanding of their own needs, gained confidence to recognize their abilities, and demonstrate commitment to improving the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗰 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻𝘆-𝗦𝘁𝗲𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗻 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺

The Arc Allegany-Steuben is currently accepting applications for its Summer Youth Employment Program. The program is open to students ages 16+ with a diagnosed disability living in Allegany County.

The Summer Youth Employment Program gives youth an opportunity to work and earn money during the summer. The Arc Allegany-Steuben works with local businesses to find work in the communities where you live and positions that are in your areas of interest. Each participant will have the aid of an on-site job coach throughout each of their shifts. Participants will be paid minimum wage and will be required to work between 10 and 20 hours per week for 6 - 7 weeks. Applications are being accepted for the Summer Youth Employment Program until June 12, 2026.
