Farmers Market Vouchers Are Available for Northampton County Seniors

Northampton County still has a supply of Farmers Market Nutrition Program vouchers. Northampton County residents age 60 or over who meet income eligibility (example: $29,526/yr. for a single person in 2026, and $40,034 for a couple) may receive the vouchers. For married couples, both spouses may obtain vouchers.

Vouchers are available only once per year to each senior, on a first-come, first-served basis and must be distributed by September 15 or until supplies run out. Participants must present a valid photo ID in person, showing a Northampton County address in order to receive vouchers.

Pickup Location: Northampton County Department of Human Services Building. 2801 Emrick Blvd., Bethlehem, PA

Dates: Available June 2 - September 15, 2026

Times: Tuesdays: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. AND Thursdays: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
*CLOSED on County Holidays

The Farmers Market Nutrition Program provides eligible seniors with vouchers that can be used to purchase fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs from participating farmers markets. Persons may only receive vouchers once during the program, which runs from June 1, 2026 until September 15, 2026.

The Bath Area Food Bank is in need of the following items to support our neighbors.

Please consider donating any of the following:
11 oz tomato soup, 15 oz can vegetables - corn, peas, green beans
15 oz can applesauce
beef/chicken ramen noodles
16 oz box of elbow macaroni or pasta (not spaghetti)

If you are unable to drop off at the times listed below, we can be reached at 484-597-2105 or [email protected] to make arrangements for drop off or if local pick up.

We are at the food bank located in St. John's Lutheran Church (lower back entrance) on 206 East Main Street, Bath, on Thursday, September 3rd, from 7:30am to 9:30am and Friday, September 4th, from 9am to 11am preparing for our September 8th distribution.

FOR SAFETY reasons if you are waiting on East Main Street, do not block driveways and businesses.

July begins the new 2026/2027 enrollment period. All existing and new clients will need to have a photo ID ready to complete the application process. We ask for your kind cooperation and patience as we enroll everyone this month.

Reminder: JULY is annual registration for the 2026/2027 year. Tuesday, July 14th, ALL clients will need to provide identification and complete a short application as you wait in line to receive your food this month. We appreciate your patience as we work through this annual process. Looking forward to seeing you then.

PS: If you are a Senior Client and only receive the Senior Box, this does not apply to you. However, if you also receive the "Family" bags, you will need to register.
