TODAY...Mostly sunny with scattered showers with isolated thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 60s. Chance of rain 50 percent. Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Minimum relative humidity around 36 percent.

Today, we proudly recognize International Firefighters’ Day and take a moment to honor the brave men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting our community.

From early morning calls to late-night emergencies, our firefighters stand ready—putting service above self every single day. Their courage, commitment, and sacrifice do not go unnoticed.

We also remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their legacy continues to inspire us.

Please join us in thanking our firefighters today—not just for what they do, but for who they are.

On 4/29/2026, members of the Bath Fire Department responded mutual aid to a forest fire in Benton, NH. Bath Fire was toned out at 10:30 AM and remained on scene for nearly 7 hours, not being released until 5:20 PM. It was a long, demanding day, but through teamwork and dedication, the job got done safely.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to all the departments and agencies that assisted:
Haverhill, Woodsville, Warren, Wentworth, Monroe, Wells River, Landaff, Lisbon, Orford, Bradford, Lyme, Plymouth, Thetford, Piermont, Newbury, West Newbury, U.S. Forest Service, New Hampshire Division of Forests and Lands, New Hampshire Forest Fire Control, Mad River Hot Shot Crew (California), American Red Cross, and Twin State Car One

We also want to thank our community supporters for keeping crews fueled and hydrated throughout the day: The American Red Cross, Fisher Auto, Woodsville Shaw’s, Bunny Elms, and Appleknockers. Your support does not go unnoticed.

Great work by all involved—another example of mutual aid and strong community partnerships making a difference.

🚨 Public Service Announcement – Haverhill, NH 🚨

Tomorrow morning, Woodsville High School will be hosting a Mock Crash event to educate students about the dangers and real-life consequences of impaired and distracted driving.

This important training exercise will involve multiple emergency agencies, including:
• Haverhill Police Department
• Woodsville Fire Department
• Woodsville Ambulance
• DHART (Dartmouth Hitchcock Advanced Response Team)
• Grafton County Sheriff’s Office
• Ricker Funeral Home
• Cottage Hospital

🚁 What to Expect:
Residents should be aware of a heavy presence of emergency vehicles and a helicopter in the Woodsville area during the morning hours.

⚠️ Please Note: This is only a drill. There is no cause for alarm.

On 4/27/2026, the Bath Fire Department responded to a first alarm brush fire in the area of Lime Kiln Road and the Chippewa Trailhead.

Bath crews were toned out at approximately 3:15 PM and operated on scene alongside mutual aid departments from Haverhill, Woodsville, Warren, and NH Forestry.

Crews worked together to contain and extinguish the fire, preventing further spread in the area. All units cleared the scene and were back in station by 6:45 PM.

We’d like to thank all assisting agencies for their teamwork and support on this incident. As always, please use caution with outdoor burning, especially during dry conditions.

The Bath Fire Department is proud to participate in Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters from April 26 - May 3, 2026.

During this time, we will be lighting up red to honor the brave firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice.

On April 18, 2026, at 5:57 PM, Bath Fire Department was toned out to provide mutual aid to Haverhill for a reported brush fire. We responded with Tanker 3 and a forestry group to assist crews on scene.

Thank you to all personnel who responded quickly to help protect life, property, and natural resources.
