Tomorrow is the last day to submit an entry for the Scarecrow Decorating Contest! Scarecrows can be made by individuals, families, organizations, or businesses. A photo of your scarecrow, your name, and phone number must be submitted by October 16 at 5:00 p.m. via email to [email protected].

Important Dates

9/14: Start decorating your scarecrow! You can pick up a burlap sack to use as the head and a Halloween medal for your scarecrow to wear from the Bath Township Public Library! Business hours are available on their website: https://www.bathtownshippubliclibrary.org/

10/16: Last day to submit a photo of your scarecrow! Email a photo of your scarecrow, your name, and phone number to [email protected].

10/19 - 10/23: Online voting for People's Choice Award (link coming soon)

10/29: Winners announced at the Farmers Market at 5:30 p.m. (if not present, the winners will be notified by email and can pick up their prize at the Township Offices).

I-69 Patch Work

The Township has received notification from MDOT regarding ramp closures that will be occurring on Sunday, October 18 through Thursday, October 22 :

WB I-69 On/Off ramp at I-69BL will be closed
EB I-69 On ramp at Webster Rd will be closed

The Township Offices, Police Administrative Office, and the Senior Center will be closed on Tuesday, October 6 due to sewer work on Webster Road.

Residents and business owners on Webster Road between Clark and Drumheller Roads have received notices regarding the sewer lining and manhole repair work being completed by GFL Environmental beginning the week of October 5 and continuing through October 16.

The work is being conducted in multiple segments. Please note the date listed on your notice for when your property will be affected.

A reminder for residents in the work zone: you may smell a resin odor like an auto body shop coming from the work area, this is normal.

To avoid odors from entering your home, please fill your plumbing traps and floor drains with water on the date listed on your notice.

While the work is being performed, sewer service connection will be temporarily sealed off.

To avoid back up of sewer water into your residence or business, please limit your water usage to a bare minimum.

During the lining, PLEASE DO NOT:

- Wash clothes or dishes
- Take showers or baths
- Flush toilets
- Operate sump pumps which are connected to the sewer system

If problems occur with your sewer service during construction or shortly after completion of the project, please contact GFL Environmental at 616-877-3930.

The Township Offices, Police & Fire Administrative Offices, and the Senior Center will be closed on Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day. The Board of Trustees meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8 due to the holiday.

Thank you to all of our Bath Charter Township employees for their continued hard work and dedication to the Bath Township community!
