The Township is still looking for interested residents to join our new Citizen Groups. Citizen Groups serve as important links between Township staff and the Bath Township community at large and provide meaningful discussion, viewpoints, and feedback to staff.

Bath Township’s Citizen Groups include:

- Park Lake Citizen Group (advises Township staff on the preservation of the natural integrity of Park Lake)
- Programming Citizen Group (advises Township staff on recreation programming for all ages)
- Roads Citizen Group (advises Township staff on the maintenance of local streets)

Interested applicants should complete an Application for Appointment to Citizen Group and return the completed application and any attachments to Bath Charter Township, 14480 Webster Road, Bath, MI 48808, email to: [email protected] or fax to: (517) 641-4170. Yoga for All class dates for June and July have been added to the RecDesk online registration: https://bathtownshipmi.recdesk.com/Community/Home

There are 3 different yoga classes available at the Bath Community Center:

- Chair Yoga: Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. (Children are free and must be accompanied by an adult)
- Adult Yoga: Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. (There will be a play area for littles)
- Community Yoga: Thursdays from 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. (Children are free and must be accompanied by an adult)

Participants may register for 4-week sessions ($20.00) or register by day ($5.00). Drop-ins are also welcome and can pay on-site with cash only. Please bring your own mat! See less

In March, the Board of Trustees approved the creation of an ad-hoc committee, the Centennial Art Committee, tasked with the planning, selection, and installation of works of art to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Bath School Bombing. Anyone with an interest in public art, local history, or community engagement is encouraged to apply. Applicants are not required to be Bath Township residents.

Bath Township Recreation Department and the Bath Township Public Library are hosting Teen Night for grades 6-12 on Friday, May 29 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the library! This is a free event featuring a rolling video game trailer, table games, a movie, pizza, and pop. Parents must register their teen by completing a registration form at the library no later than Wednesday, May 27 at 7:00 p.m. There are 32 spots available and registration is first come, first served.

Yesterday, several Board members and Township staff visited the Southern Clinton County Municipal Utilities Authority (SCCMUA) for a tour led by Director Brad Gurski. The tour covered the full wastewater treatment process. Director Gurski also highlighted several areas that were included in the recent plant upgrade project.

SCCMUA provides sanitary sewer services to four municipalities: Bath Township, City of DeWitt, DeWitt Township, and Watertown Township.
