The Brick Store is a genuine old-fashioned general store that dates back to 1790. Here, you can get distinctive New England specialties — including our own smokehouse meats and cheese, homemade fudge, gift packs & gift baskets, maple syrup, etc.

Some places aren’t meant to be rushed.

They’re meant to be wandered.

To pick up something you didn’t know you needed. To notice the little details. To hear the old floors creak beneath your feet. To slow down for just a few minutes and enjoy the simple things.

Whether you leave with a bag full of groceries or just a moment well spent, we’re always glad you stopped by.

We hope to see you soon. ❤️

Some days are made for the river. ☀️🌊

When the summer heat settles in, the Ammonoosuc is the perfect place to cool off—whether you’re casting a line, floating downstream, or taking a quick swim.

Before you head to the water, stop by the Brick Store. We’ve got sunscreen, fishing bait, and tubes to help make the most of your day.

Stay cool, have fun, and enjoy one of the best parts of summer in Bath. 🛟🎣

On this day in 1776, the Declaration of Independence was first read aloud to the public.

Today, nearly 250 years later, those same words were read once again—right here outside The Brick Store.

We also paused to remember the men of Bath who gave their lives in the Revolutionary War, honoring the sacrifices that helped shape our nation and our community.

History isn’t only found in museums. Sometimes it’s found in the places where neighbors still gather, traditions are still kept, and stories are still told.

We’re grateful to have witnessed—and been a small part of—this tradition.

The Fourth of July in a small town sounds a little different.

On Saturday, the church bell next door rang 56 times—one for each signer of the Declaration of Independence—a tradition that reminds us of the history we share and the freedoms we enjoy.

As those bells echoed through Bath, families gathered, neighbors caught up, travelers stopped in, and The Brick Store celebrated its very first Fourth of July back.

Watching people fill the store again after so many years made us appreciate not only this historic building, but the community that has always given it life.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to celebrate with us. Here’s to many more Fourths together.

Happy 250th, America! 🇺🇸

One thing won’t be ready on opening day… 😅

Our smokehouse.

The good news? The smoker is warming up, and before long the cooler will be filled with the maple-smoked favorites so many of you have been asking about—pepperoni, bacon, cheddar, and Rat Trap cheese.

We’ll be opening with plenty to enjoy, and we can’t wait to bring the smokehouse tradition back soon.

See you July 1! ❤️

Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads and father figures!

As we prepare to reopen The Brick Store, we’re reminded that places like this aren’t just about what’s on the shelves—they’re about the memories made with the people we love.

Here’s to the dads who have created those memories for generations, and to making many more in the years ahead. Happy Father’s Day! ❤️
