On May 21st, both of our community support programs joined up for our annual Portland Sea Dogs baseball game. The weather was perfect and the company was even better! It was great catching up with friends while we picnicked on ballpark food and cheered for our local team. We have so many sports fans among us, that we feel lucky that this was the third sporting event we’ve been able to attend within the last 6 months! We’ve seen the Maine Celtics, the Maine Mariners Hockey and now the Sea Dogs. We can’t wait to see where the summer takes us!

They have been practicing at Bates College and participated in the Androscoggin County Track & Field Area Games at Edward Little High School on May 12th. Please wish them well as they travel to Orono in a few weeks. A big shout out to our coaches and volunteers for coordinating, planning and supporting our athletes.

First 90 Years: Marlene Ouellette
What was it like in the 1970s at Pine Tree Society? Marlene Ouellette remembers it vividly. In the 70s, she was part of a small, dedicated team of Speech-Language therapists who brought services to rural Maine—often where no other resources existed. She was one of Maine’s first licensed speech therapists and, from mobile clinics to Pine Tree Camp summers, her story is a must-read! https://pinetreesociety.org/pine-tree-society-in-the-1970s/

Individuals from Auburn’s community support program participated in the 2026 Maine Heart Walk this past weekend in Portland. Our team was made up of friends and family who have either known someone affected by heart disease or is a survivor themselves. It was a beautiful day to support such an important cause and to spend time with those we love and care about!

It finally feels like Spring, and we took advantage of the beautiful weather by getting our bikes out! We went to Range Pond State Park in Poland and utilized their beautiful trails. It was great being outside in the fresh air and we can’t wait to do it again.
