Metro Councilman Brandon Noel

Metro Councilman Brandon Noel EBR Parish Metro Councilman District 1 Brandon is a graduate of LSU with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Brandon Noel was elected to the East Baton Rouge Parish Metropolitan Council, District 1 seat in December 2020, assuming office in 2021. Brandon first entered the public service arena back in 2010, where he ran for a Zachary City Council seat at the age of 27 and was elected to the Zachary City Council in November 2010, assumed office on January 10, 2011, was reelected in 2014, and again in 2018 r

epresenting Council District 2 and serving two terms as Mayor Pro Tempore. He is active in the community having served both as President and a board member of the Zachary Rotary Club, as a member of the Zachary Economic Development board, as an ambassador for the Zachary Chamber of Commerce, and as a board member of the Americana Branch YMCA. Brandon is currently employed as a Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending and Business Development at Landmark Bank. Brandon is also a licensed Realtor and owner of a local Real Estate Brokerage. He is married to Megan Noel, Assistant Principal at Zachary Elementary School. They have two children, Grace and Evan, and are active members of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where Brandon also volunteers by teaching religious education. District 1 covers the northern part of the parish and generally runs north of a line that includes Heck Young Road, Lavey Lane, Petit Road, Comite Drive, Dyer Road, McCullough Road and Denham Road.

🚨 City-Parish Closure Notice

Out of an abundance of caution due to freezing weather, all City-Parish offices will remain closed Monday, January 26, 2026. Offices will reopen Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

Winter Storm Watch in effect from 12:00 AM through 6:00 PM Sunday.

Extreme Cold Watch in effect from 6:00 PM Sunday through Tuesday at 12:00 PM.

Chances EBRP will receive freezing rain Saturday through Sunday are continuing to decrease…
* There is a 7% chance that EBRP will receive less than 0.01” of freezing rain Saturday through Sunday.
* There is a 0% chance that EBRP will receive less than 0.10” of freezing rain Saturday through Sunday.

* Main concern for EBRP is prolonged freezing temperatures Monday through Wednesday.

* Monday
Sunny, with a high near 36 and Monday night low around 14 degrees.

With plenty of smiles and a whole lot of holiday cheer, Mayor Pro Tempore Noel turned Christmas spirit into action at a joyful turkey giveaway today in the heart of the City of Zachary. Organized by Sharon McKnight, families picked up their festive birds, shared laughs, and soaked up the warmth of community. Special thanks to Mayor McDavid for lending a helping hand and to Choctaw Provision Co. for the gobblers for the 5th year! Churches participating are growing each year and include:
