The 8th Annual Colonel 5k with SPA Color Pop Run! is on Monday April 28, 2025 to Saturday May 10, 2025. It includes the following events: 8th Annual Colonel 5k, Virtual 5k, and Kids 1k benefitting the Ross Mullooly Project: Outrunning Cancer.

Be a HOPE LODGE CHAMPION and come out to Nicholls State University on May 10th and enter our fun run. The proceeds will be used to continue our support of Patrick Taylor Hope Lodge. Runners will receive a champion medal. We are excited for this partnership with the University and team that meant so much to Ross and our family.

Tonight we attended the NFL Crucial Catch at the Joy Theater in New Orleans. The Joy Theater provided an intimate venue for the 2025 panel to discuss the importance of early detection and each ambassador 's personal journey.

This holiday season at the Patrick Taylor Hope Lodge has begun. Every week for the next five weeks a gift will be presented to the guest away from home staying in each suite. We are spreading Hope for the Holidays. We chose to purchase $25 Visa gift cards from Outrunning Cancer along with framed images of traditional New Orleans events. Images were donated by photographer Zach Brien. I also made a contact at the Baton Rouge Texas Roadhouse and they donated certificates for 34 steak dinners for two. I would like to thank South La
Bank for the logoed calendars. Golf towels and pizza cutters. We are hoping this project will be a success.

Tonight I attended a wonderful event for local cancer patients to learn about hair loss after treatment. Patients from Mary Bird Perkins, Women's and Ochsner Oncology Center gathered at The Grove. Eggie Salon stylists treated us to hair evaluations and then haircuts, product recommendations and styling. These sessions were lead by their lead stylist Rachel. My pictures had to protect the patients privacy so they do not show what a success it was.

So this year an exciting new project is launching at Patrick Taylor Hope Lodge. Home for the Holidays will run through November and December. They are putting together several different ways everyone can participate in giving their support to the guests away from home during the holiday season. We would like to focus on giftcards. Tuesday night we were invited to attend and participate in The Cooking Up Hope Dinner given by Mr. Darby Berthelot and his family. He brought in a attorney to present Estate Planning to the guests. (very enlightening). He did this to coincide with make a will month. It featured a great pastalaya. Jordan the Director of the Lodge shared with us future plans and said the Lodge was currently fully occupied and for the past few months at 90%. This facility is a godsend. If you notice our Tree of Hope has had a lot of new activity.

Tonight we attended the Nicholls State Caravan in Baton Rouge at SoLou restaurant. It was great hearing from the Coaches on what we can expect from their teams this coming year. Our project will be partnering with the Cross Country team at their upcoming Cross Country Invitational on September 28th and in the future we will be sponsoring the youth race to benefit Patrick Taylor Hope Lodge. Jimmy and I were invited to Hope Lodge last thursday for their Valentine Sweetheart Ball. It was really nice and their new director Jordan did a wonderful job. They unveiled a new installation at the lodge- the inspiration stick wall. These were all made by guests, volunteers and employees at the Lodge. Also, The Tree of Life is filling with leaves.

Jimmy and I took a ride to Hope Lodge and brought in 30 sets of toiletries. These will probably be our last to bring in. They have worked these items into their operating budget and will have the large dispensers in the bathrooms soon. Thank you to everyone who helped me with this through the years. Also please note the Tree is starting to fill. I counted 92 leaves. We had a good visit with the staff and guests.
