Capital Area Agency on Aging Health Fair

The Capital Area Agency on Aging's Annual Health Fair is happening October 29th at the Lamar-Dixon REV Center in Gonzales, LA. This year’s theme is “Healthy Hearts, Happy Lives.”

By partnering with this highly attended event, you not only gain visibility with one of the region’s largest and most engaged older adult communities—you directly strengthen Capital AAA’s mission to support the health, independence, and quality of life of older adults across 10 parishes.

Senior Employment Specialist

Researches and reviews necessary information to complete applications and enter into database. Initiates, runs, and distributes reports and other program correspondence for the Senior Employment Supervisor as necessary. Must have an automobile and be able to travel in service area. Travel is required at least 25% of work time. The service area includes East and West Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Lafourche, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. James, Tangipahoa and Washington Parishes.

This position is classified as a support position and is subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Minimum of five years clerical/administrative experience. Excellent telephone and typing skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, etc. and data entry. Formal training in business office administration, or closely related curriculum is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Salary Range: $30k-$33k

Administrative Assistant

Performs basic administrative tasks to include typing, filing for the Agency, serving as receptionist, responding to inquiries and making referrals; ordering and maintaining office supplies. Exercises independent judgment in preparation of materials and in interpretation of Agency procedures. This position is subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act. Strongly prefer at least 5 years of administrative and supervisory experience.
