We run to remember. We walk to honor. We come together to keep the memories of the babies gone too soon alive. 💙

In recognition of Infant Loss Awareness Month, Family Road of Greater Baton Rouge gathered for A Walk to Remember, A Run for Hope to honor the lives that will never be forgotten and the families who carry their love every day.

Every step was a reminder that behind every loss is a story, a family, and a love that lasts a lifetime. We run to honor those babies, to stand alongside grieving families, and to remind them that they are not alone.

We hope you’ll join us next year as we continue to remember, honor, and support families touched by infant loss. 💙

Well Mama is a space created for moms who want to feel connected and supported. Come spend an hour with other women who understand the experience of motherhood and have a chance to talk with professionals about the things that matter to you.

Where Are They Now? 💙📚

We’re highlighting Family Road alum Kyra Wills Luckett, a Baton Rouge nonprofit professional, author, and advocate for children and families.

Kyra has spent more than 24 years working in nonprofit services and management. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she discovered her passion for writing and co-authored her first children’s book, My Weekend in the Country with MeeMaw! She has since released her latest book, When Kami Discovers Her R.O.A.R., which encourages young readers to face fear with courage. Both books can be purchased on Amazon!

Through her books, Kyra hopes to inspire young people to dream big and believe in what’s possible.

You can find Kyra at the Louisiana Book Festival on October 31st in Downtown Baton Rouge!

Our team was proud to attend the 2026 Healthy Start National Convention All Grantee Meeting in Washington, D.C. 🇺🇸

This year’s gathering marked 35 years of Healthy Start, bringing together grantees from across the country to celebrate the program’s impact and the work being done to support families.

Levi and Dena were also honored to present “Building a Network of Care: Fostering Resilience Through Connections.” We were grateful for the opportunity to share our work and connect with others who are committed to strengthening support for families in their communities.

Here’s to 35 years of Healthy Start and the continued work ahead! 💙
