The C&E reorganization effort continues as the agency absorbs certain energy-related functions from the Office of State Lands to improve efficiency in permitting and state leasing.

Sometimes that work gets a little physical, as demonstrated by members of C&E’s Office of State Resources, Office of Permitting and Compliance, NRTA and Modernization staff, who all pitched in to move paper files in Baton Rouge from the state’s Claiborne Building to C&E’s headquarters in the LaSalle Building.

C&E would like to thank the organizers and hosts of the LegisGator 2026 event – LABI, Leaders for a Better Louisiana and the SWLA Economic Development Alliance – for inviting our leadership to participate in a meaningful discussion during a forum panel on Expanding Louisiana’s Energy Dominance.

C&E Secretary Dustin Davidson spoke about reform and changes in both our agency and the state’s approach to resource management that have helped us better align with other state agencies and work with Governor Jeff Landry to continue to lead the nation in energy innovation.

We look forward to continuing the discussions and exchange of ideas to promote responsible development of Louisiana’s natural resources and energy opportunities.
