Louisiana Farm Bureau Convention is a time to celebrate agriculture, but this year, that celebration was tempered by the heartbreaking reality many Central Louisiana families were facing at home.

As members gathered for , historic floodwaters swept across parts of our state, drowning crops, stranding livestock and damaging homes.

Our thoughts remain with everyone affected as they begin the long road to recovery.
