Currently, there are MORE than 2500 seniors presently on the waiting list for Meals on Wheels -- with this number increasing EVERYDAY! Donations of ALL kinds are being accepted and can be made online at www.ebrcoa.org. Additionally: in a continuing, year-round effort aiding this GROWING population, the EBRCOA currently offers its "Feed-A-Senior" program -- enabling donors to feed a senior for a day, month or even a WHOLE year.

🚨SERVING SENIORS IN ACTION: KUDOS TO MRS. SHARON WALLACE!🚨

Yesterday, Meals on Wheels Driver Sharon Wallace demonstrated what it truly means to be the eyes and ears for our seniors.

When she arrived at a senior’s home and found him on the floor after a recent hospital stay, Sharon immediately called 911 and stayed until help arrived. She also went above and beyond to ensure another senior received her meal delivery despite challenging living conditions.

Sharon’s actions reflect compassion, commitment, and a servant’s heart. She understands that her role goes beyond delivering a meal. It’s about showing up, looking out for our seniors, and making sure they receive the care they need.

Thank you, Mrs. Wallace, for showing us what looks like in action!

To provide further clarity to the community's questions, here is what is included in a senior's weekly Meals on Wheels box. The approximate value of the food provided in each box is $56.

🍽️ 7 home-cooked meals, provided frozen
🥛 1 half a gallon of milk (every other week)
🍞 7 Slices of Bread
🍎 Fresh Fruit
🥨 Snacks

Each meal is prepared according to the dietary guidelines of the Older Americans Act Nutrition Program. Meals on Wheels is designed to help meet the nutritional needs of seniors, particularly those who are homebound. Our commitment is simple: to make sure seniors receive the food and services they need to remain nourished, independent, and supported.

We appreciate the community’s questions, support, and continued commitment to our seniors. We will continue to communicate clearly, protect our resources, and remain focused on what matters most:
