This week, we proudly recognize National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week—a time to honor the voices behind the scenes who keep everything moving when it matters most.

Our dispatchers are the calm in the chaos. The steady voice on the other end of the line. The ones who answer every call—no matter the hour, no matter the situation—and make sure help gets where it needs to go.

While officers may be the ones you see, dispatchers are the ones who make it all happen. Every call taken, every unit directed, every life impacted starts with them.

To our dispatch team: we see you, we appreciate you, and we thank you for your dedication, professionalism, and commitment to keeping our community safe.

Southern University Police Department is grateful for each and every one of you.
