Hello Louisianians,
My name is Colby Hennigan and I am running for the District 3, DPEC seat in East Baton Rouge Parish. As a 28-year-old progressive Democrat, I believe in the potential of our state. I, like you all as citizens of Louisiana, have always marched to a unique beat, celebrating our one-of-a-kind culture and thriving on the opportunities of our local lagniappe. We have strived to be
the light on the hill in the South, but recently that light has slowly begun to dim and I believe now is the time to take a stand and bring back our light! I am running for this seat because I believe in a better and stronger Louisiana Democratic Party. It is time for the next generation of progressive Democrats to run and be elected to leadership positions. As your next District 3, DPEC in EBR Parish, I will be your champion for reproductive rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, for the expansion of access to health care, and to strive to improve the lives of all Louisianians. But, all this starts with an increase in activism of our young democrats and future leaders of our great state. My first initiative will be to work on empowering our young people to want to become involved in politics and community service. I want to personally thank each one of my supporters who believe in a better and brighter future.
