LSU Food Science Club LSU's Nutrition and Food Sciences Department's official Food Science club comprised of graduate and undergraduate students. IFTSA: South Central Chapter

The LSU Food Science club is a student organization, a student chapter of the national organization of the Institute of Food Technologists and consists of both undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at Louisiana State University. The Food Science Club provides numerous activities intended to promote student involvement in local, regional and national IFT activities. The club also assists stu

dent's professional development, help students better understand society, develop teamwork skills and a sense of social responsibility and be prepared for the real world. FSC's annual Thanksmas dinner for 2019 was ah-mazing! Thank you all for delighting the event with your presence. We are grateful to you all, thankful to all our wonderful faculties, to our enthusiastic volunteers AND MOST OF ALL to hardworking, creative and talented board members (2019/2020) for pulling off this event so gracefully.

Congratulations to three outstanding PhD students from LSU School of Nutrition and Food Sciences on receiving the 'Dr. John Barkate Fellowship Award". This award was the first scholarship award that was started in the department back in 1990s.
Kudos to the students' achievement. We wish you best in the days ahead!
