East Baton Rouge Parish officials are closely monitoring Potential Tropical Cyclone One as it moves towards Louisiana.

US National Weather Service New Orleans Louisiana is forecasting multiple rounds of heavy rainfall through Friday, with 4-6” of rain expected across the Parish and locally higher amounts possible.

Residents are encouraged to stay prepared by reviewing emergency plans, securing outdoor items, monitoring weather updates, and avoiding flooded roadways.
