In October 2016, the main undergraduate party in the SG Fall Elections decided to drop its postgraduate candidates at the last moment. In the scramble that resulted, William Fath and Jordan Landry banded together in a common mission to provide unmatched service for graduate and professional students' unique needs. Thus began one of the most unusual stories in the long history of LSU Student Govern
ment, a story that has already produced results for LSU's postgraduate population. Unlike most parties, we're not afraid to step in the breach when the "real world" intrudes on those we represent, whether it be the cost of living or travel bans threatening our international students. Unlike most parties, we're willing to look for the best in postgraduate leadership and give them a platform to do good for the students whose work distinguishes LSU as a flagship research university. Unlike most parties, we don't rebrand ourselves and change names every semester, because we're willing to be held accountable for the work we do for those we represent. We stand for a cause, not just one candidate's personal branding. That's why graduate and professional students know that our colors - PhD regalia blue, LSU Tiger gold - are only worn by candidates who are not afraid to shine when the night comes.
