It's a night view of an illuminated holiday greeting sign strung on wires across Canal Street in the Central Business District. The building with a cupola seen at the lower left is the Godchaux Building, located at 527-543 Canal Street, corner of Chartres.

Congratulations to the winners of the 1945 Book Character Costume Contest!
