Carl's surgical skills with a backhoe played an important part during the Chatsworth Plantation site excavations. His skills and knowledge a likely to never be duplicated. -Dennis Jones

Calling all Civil War Buffs! While exploring through the collection again, we (re)discovered several Civil War Union Troop coat buttons that once belonged to general Staff and Infantry soldiers. We couldn't help but to include the US belt buckle! We have also cleaned up a Wisconsin State Seal coat button belonging to the 4th Wisconsin troop that fought in the Battle of Baton Rouge. Check them out!
