Nathaniel Hearn for Mayor-President

Nathaniel Hearn for Mayor-President Nathaniel Hearn is a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of St. George running for Mayor-President of East Baton Rouge Parish. What have we gotten? Join me.

He’s thirty years of age and a Republican. Nathaniel is a graduate of Dunham School, LSU and Southern Law School. WHY I AM A CANDIDATE FOR MAYOR PRESIDENT

Our community is in a dreadful descent to failure. We either change for community or our community will change us. I want to change the trajectory of our community. We have a bloated and burdensome bureaucracy in City-Parish Government, people

are fleeing for better opportunities and greater potential, crime is a BIG reason why they are leaving, and our streets, roads and infrastructure are a mess. I know people have voted for those much older than me for many years. Dare to Change!

My first run for elected office is over but my civic participation is not. Nor will it end: ‘dare to change’ is more than a slogan, it’s a charge to keep. This is my home and I will do everything I can to improve our parish community. Thank you for your consideration. I could not have done this without the encouragement of family, friends and supporters. It was an education, to be sure!

My parents, KMarie Boles Hearn and Captain Charles Hearn 🗳️ These two have always taught me to give back to our community, and today I was proud to have them with me at the polls…GEAUX VOTE EBR! DARE TO CHANGE!

This is my cousin Leanna Carroll who was a proud member of LSU’s Tiger Girls dance team. I’m so grateful for the support and the encouragement I am receiving from my extended family.

Baton Rouge is a bona fide championship city thanks to the many honors our student athletes have competed for and won on our behalf, making us proud Tiger fans indeed. Unless we get the problems of Baton Rouge under control - most notably, violent crime - there won’t be as many athletes and gifted students who will want to go to school here in what is already one of America’s most dangerous cities. We’ve got a lot riding on our colleges & universities in EBR. Let’s bring that same championship spirit to the fight against crime in Baton Rouge…before it’s too late.

Throughout this campaign, I have attempted to bring fresh ideas and a new perspective from a young conservative’s point of view. I have always followed my conscience: when seeing a need, I try my hardest to fill that need. Our community deserves better leadership than what we’ve been getting for too long. Let’s DARE TO CHANGE - with your vote Tuesday, we can fulfill EBR’s promise.

I debated whether or not to do a Halloween 🎃 post because the last eight years of this administration’s performance have been scary enough as it is.

Don’t get tricked today or on Tuesday, November 5…DARE TO CHANGE!

Ah! A ghost! Oh wait, that’s only the guy next to me who ghosted eight years of elections.

I’m making a stand for change in EBR. With your help, we’ll send a strong message: we deserve better. We deserve a mayor who works hard getting things done, not raising taxes or denying our problems exist. Your generosity makes this campaign possible. Nero fiddled while Rome burned. Our current leadership won’t even talk about how bad crime is in the area: the Incumbent (and her other Republican challenger FYI) turned down chances to talk to WBRZ Channel 2 and go on the record. It’s because this administration has proven its unwillingness and inability to tackle our most pressing problems. After years of Broome trying to sweep away the obvious, it’s time for new ideas. Let’s DARE TO CHANGE!

BATON ROUGE - So far, 2024 has the fifth-highest homicide rate on record within the city limits of Baton Rouge. Mayoral candidates Nathaniel Hearn, R-Baton Rouge, and Ted James, D-Baton Rouge, told WBRZ what they think the city needs to deter violent crime.

Persistence pays off as the old truism goes…happy to visit with the members of Red Stick Kiwanis and others at Lake Sherwood Village at the Kiwanis candidate forum.

See the empty chair 🪑? As it turned out, I was the ONLY candidate who bothered to attend: no incumbent, no other challengers, not even the other candidates from my own political party. I have no idea why these candidates didn’t bother to show - they were invited according to the media release - but I was more than pleased to have all the floor time and communication with these frequent voters. They’re concerned about the direction of this community, and I’m glad I was there not only to speak but to LISTEN as well.

If a candidate can’t spend the time with this parish’s elders and important civic organizations, how can we the people expect them to listen to and care about any of our concerns? It’s no way to run EBR as we’ve seen for the past eight years. Let’s dare to change this parish by electing a mayor who is there for all of us.

Enjoy this video of my recent appearance on KLSU radio. From the outset of this campaign, I made it clear there's no one I wouldn't talk to about my plans for improving East Baton Rouge Parish. That includes future community and business leaders at LSU. I'm grateful for the opportunity!
