Louisiana Healthcare Connections and Ochsner Health System have agreed on the main terms of a new contract.

The new agreement will help us work together to improve quality, health outcomes, and care coordination.

It will also keep Ochsner in our network, so our members can continue getting covered care from Ochsner providers.

There are still a few steps to complete before the contract is final. We’ll share another update when it is.

Some adults who get Medicaid will have federally mandated work requirements beginning January 1, 2027. Louisiana Medicaid wants everyone eligible and in need of Medicaid coverage to remain enrolled.

Medicaid will send letters to members when they need to take action or provide information. Members should keep their contact information up to date with Louisiana Medicaid so they do not miss important updates.
